Celebrity in the Family?

I always wondered when someone would ask me if I was related to a certain celebrity.
With my last name being "Hewett," I would have thought it would have come sooner. It never did though. Today, however, it finally happened.

I was finally asked if I was related to the actress Jennifer Love Hewitt. I wanted to laugh, but couldn't. I just merely looked at the young woman asking me that, and said, "I wish, but no, I'm not."

The young woman looked at me and said, "That has to be awesome though, sharing the same last name and being asked that." I looked at her, smiled and said, "Actually, you are the first one to ever ask me that. It would be nice, but she spells her last name differently. Her's is spelled with an 'i' and mine is spelled with an 'e.'"

That girl looked me and said, "I wasn't sure how it was spelled, but I can't believe you have never been asked that. I mean, she is a very popular actress, having been in all those teen movies and the star of the 'Ghost Whisperer.'"

I told her, "Yeah, you would think someone would have already asked, but look on the bright side, be honored that you were the first!"

She smiled at me and gave me my order and that was that.

It would be awesome to be related to her. I mean, I could go around telling everyone that Jennifer Love Hewitt is my sister! That would be a hoot. I could tell everyone that that hot brunette, the sexiest actress on television, that stars in one of my favorite shows, is my sister.

On second thought, I don't know if that would be a good thing or not. It would be weird saying my sister (if I had one) is hot and sexy.

It's a good thing she isn't. 'Cause if she was, I'd have to stop watching the "Ghost Whisperer" for that very same reason! :)
